Meet me at the lake!

We are one week away from our Spring Fling Regatta. This is especially geared to be a fun day for sailors at all skill levels. Skippers and crew sign up! I just signed up and will need some of you crew to sign up too. If you are new to sailing or just getting your sea legs, I would love to have you on board to introduce you to the fun passion of sailboat racing. HOPEFULLY OTHER SKIPPERS WILL FOLLOW SUIT ASAP!

Wednesday Night Racing (WNR) and Learning at the Helm (LATH) are off and running. See below, then see you on the water!

We will be trying something new geared especially for dingy sailors. Read about the Exodus Regatta below, then plan on joining in the fun. It will be great to see these sporty little boats zipping around priest lake again!  (pssst: I am not able to give any details just yet, but we are working on a "dingy surprise appearance". If it all gels, we will feed you some more info about this exciting opportunity for a hands-on look at something new and exciting.)

There are also efforts going into organizing a Racing Clinic on Friday before the Galen Freeman Regatta. It is going to be great!

If you missed it, check out our Leeward Reports below and get a glimpse at what is going on with PPYC.

Finally, sign up now for these learning opportunities;

Great things are happening at PPYC. Get them on your calendar, sign up, join in, volunteer and take advantage of sailing on our wonderful lake!

Let's Go Sailing

Join us for Wednesday Night Racing!

We have had two challenging Wednesday Nights to start off our season. Believe it or not, we have had boats sail the course both nights!

Bring your boat to the line or join us as crew. Come make this the highlight of your mid-week!

LATH is Underway!

This hands-on intro to sailing is the perfect place to start. Come out and meet Brian, our new LATH leader and all our regular teaching skippers. This isn't just theory, weather permitting we will take it to the water!

Clean-Up Day 2024

It was great that so many volunteers come out to pitch in for our annual spring clean-up day! See more pictures.

Let's not make it just one day. Every day you are at our beautiful lake front can be your own personal clean-up day. If you see glass broken on our parking lot, grab a broom. Chase after trash blowing across the shoreline. Do a deep knee bend to pick up a can. If you see a committee boat looking a little moldy take a minute to apply a little muscle with a sponge.

2024 Force Five does not disappoint

Spinnaker class:
1st: Curtze
2nd: Karesh

Membership Cards

PPYC membership cards have gone electronic! Now you can load them to your phone with your other electronic cards. If you are old school like me, you can print them off and tuck them into your wallet. Or, sign into the website and just admire it any time you are land bound and longing for a sail.
If you travel, your card will get you in the door at many sailing clubs. At the very least, use it as a conversation starter to get a crew position while you are visiting some far away sailing venue.

To get your membership card:

1.      Log onto the PPYC Home page

2.      After you log in, click your name in the top right corner of the website. Then select "Profile".

3.      In the Membership Summary section of your profile, select either "JPG" or "PDF" after “Download Membership Card”.

4.   Admire!
