Things are really ramping up!

Plan on dropping in for the Commodore’s Reception in one week, March 9th. Don't just plan on it, click the link and sign up. This is how we get a count of how many people to anticipate and prepare for.

Training opportunities are already happening. Check out the review of the Coastal Navigation class in the Leeward Reports. US Coast Guard Reserve is presenting a class tomorrow on Boat Safety that you want to jump on. Online Learning at the Helm starts THIS TUESDAY. And the ever-popular Points of Sail class is happening in April. Sign up below in the PPYC-U section.

Our first sailing event, the Force Five is open for registration. After checking that out, plan on joining us for the Wednesday Night Race Kickoff on Saturday March 30th at 2:00. Some of us regulars will be there, and we would love to meet skippers and crew that want to put Wednesday Night Racing fun onto their calendar in 2024. Just do it, you can thank me later.

Lastly, don't forget to check out the All Hands On Deck section. We have the best volunteers, just ask Hook. The opportunities to give back to the club are abundant so please join in. Especially note the Marina Clean Up Day on April 6th. We are privileged to enjoy Hamilton Creek Marina and park. This is our opportunity for every member to do our part in keeping both beautiful!
Sign up now, we want to see you there!

Let's Go Sailing

Join us for the Force Five Regatta

Saturday, March 23
(In case of inclement weather, the makeup date is the 24th.)

This is your year!

Start a Wednesday Night Race tradition.

On March 30th, from 2 to 4:00 hear what Wednesday Night Racing is about and how to get started. We would love to see some additional boat owners join us. It took a little encouragement for most of us to get started. But once we did, we found it worthwhile to carve out time in the middle of the week to prioritize this rewarding activity.

This is also for those of you who like to crew and strategize. You are vital to Wednesday Night Racing too. No experience necessary, just an eagerness to learn and continually improve.

Membership Cards

PPYC membership cards have gone electronic! Now you can load them to your phone with your other electronic cards. If you are old school like me, you can print them off and tuck them into your wallet. Or, sign into the website and just admire it any time you are land bound and longing for a sail.
If you travel, your card will get you in the door at many sailing clubs. At the very least, use it as a conversation starter to get a crew position while you are visiting some far away sailing venue.

To get your membership card:

1.      Log onto the PPYC Home page

2.      After you log in, click your name in the top right corner of the website. Then select "Profile".

3.      In the Membership Summary section of your profile, select either "JPG" or "PDF" after “Download Membership Card”.

4.   Admire!
