Spring Fling 2023
The Spring Fling was held on April 15th, 2023. It was a beautiful day, winds were light, but enthusiasm was high!
We had 10 skippers register, 19 crew and 8 volunteers. Crew were matched to skippers and we headed out to sunny skies and breeze as we anticipated a race around the islands on Priest Lake. Unfortunately, the breeze decided it would play hide and seek for some extended periods of time. But that didn't matter, we started on time and were off to our first leg around the windward mark, then off to a loop around Bear Island. We did get a lot of light air practice as the newer crew learned the value of "let it out" and leeward rail crew weight. Finishes were a mix of under sail and motor sail.
