Learning At The Helm (LATH)
Learning at the Helm (LATH) is an introduction to sailing open to anyone 18 and older, who is interested in learning about sailing. We meet on the deck at Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina at 5:00 pm every Tuesday, March through September. The goal of LATH is to share our passion for the sport and promote sailing as a family activity within Percy Priest Yacht Club. Qualified LATH skippers will give a basic introduction to sailboats and an on-the-water introduction to sailing each week.
We welcome potential new members to come out once or twice to give sailing a try before joining PPYC. If you like sailing, we request that you join the club to continue participating in LATH for the rest of the season and to take full advantage of our other sailing education programs, our club boat program and other sailing activities.
Because space is limited and spots can't be guaranteed, we encourage you to register in advance each week.
