Online Learning at the Helm Tuesdays March 2024

Join us for a series of virtual Learning sessions at the Helm Tuesdays in March 2024.

March 5 7:00 PM: PPYC and LATH information; preparing to sail; sailboat parts; sailboat steering.
March 12 7:00 PM: More details on sailboat parts; safety equipment; hoisting sails; reading the wind and sail trim.
March 19 7:00 PM: Right of way rules; aids to navigation; tacking and jibing; heavy wind sailing.
March 26 7:00 PM: Person overboard recovery; docking; anchoring; basic racing rules.

The presentations are based on US Sailing Basic Keelboat Book, which is available online from US Sailing or other vendors. This is an excellent reference book and a good companion to this course.
