Thirty-Four Members, Guests and Volunteers gathered to greet our Commodore and meet someone new. In the words of Hook, They "made this show excellent."
Meet our Commodore:
Alicia Noble inherited a love for sailing and a Catalina 22 from her father. She and her sister joined PPYC in 2015. She was an excellent Basic Keelboat class participant. Alicia along with her sister and friends were weekly participants in the non-spinnaker fleet on Wednesday nights. They weren't always the fastest, but you could always tell they were having a ton of fun sailing and enjoying each other's company. Since COVID, she has been crewing on an S2 7.9 for races both at home and in distant ports. She has been a true example of getting value out of her membership and giving back so others can do the same.
Alicia has always been a frequent volunteer. Whether polishing trophies on clean-up day or assisting for a social event. She leads by example. For the last several years she has leveraged her talent and professionalism to the club in leadership roles. Several years as the Club Secretary and most recently as Vice Commodore and Commodore.
Great to meet you Alicia, we are glad you are here!
