The Rookie Race is next Saturday, September 12. So, now is the time to get your name in!
If you are new to racing, returning after a long gap, or want a coach on board for a jib-and-main day, register now. That is how we get you on a boat and keep the day organized.
Skippers who can host a rookie as a ride-along coach should register on the same page. If you already have rookies in your crew, please have them sign up so we are not sorting it out on the dock.
There may still be some volunteer opening. If you want to help run the race, sign up for an open slot.
If you want to sail on the 12th, register now!

This is not your normal LATH in September.
Our September “Members Only” LATH program has kicked off with a great start. With very light wind this first week, our LATH Skippers worked with our newer members to instruct on the basics of launching and docking a sailboat. All of our LATH members got several practices getting in and out of the Marina. Everyone improved and built confidence. While a few boats went out for a light-wind sail, most were content after the docking practice to stay near the Marina. It was a great LATH for our newer members. We definitely are accomplishing our mission of helping our members reach their goals of becoming competent sailors. We plan to work on other basic and important sailboat operation skills over the coming weeks. Plan to join and improve your basic skills.
OCTOBERFEST is around the corner.
With Kate on Club Maternity Leave to focus on her new baby, we definitely need help with the social parts of this event. Please volunteer for both the Race Committee spots and, most importantly, the Social Committee spots. We need members for both the breakfast and the post-race Red Cup event. The Notice of Race is posted. Register early and, even if you are racing, volunteer for one of the Social Committee spots. We can’t hold the event without it.
