Sail Trim Class: 10am-12pm
This class will focus on trimming sails for performance, comfort, and safety. Come out and refresh your understanding of Wind and Sail Interaction; Points of Sail and Strategy; Trimming the Mainsail and Headsail; Telltales; and what to do in Different Wind Conditions.
There is a good chance, weather permitting, that a group sail may happen after the class.

Luau Party
June 20 will be here before you know it. So, start picking out your Luau outfit and get ready to party. This is a FREE social party for all members and guests. Please register early to help Kate and our social committee out with planning. New Members automatically win prizes. Don’t miss out.
Double-Double
This classic club race event will kick off Saturday afternoon before the Luau. Always a fun and challenging event of two-handed sailing. Skippers and crew: It’s time to register!!!
Club Business - Is it your turn?
As several members roll off the board after this season, we are in need of filling four very important positions for next season, including Vice Commodore, Treasurer, Race Director and Social Chairman. Please consider joining the Board and keeping the club going strong. We need your talents.

WNR Dock Assistant Needed
The Dock Assistant helps coordinate our crews for WNR. And while the duties are not demanding, this role is very important to WNR.
As members sign-up to crew each week on the WNR page, the Dock Assistant helps coordinate early in the week by posting the crew to the WNR skipper WhatsApp group.
On Wednesdays as crew arrive, the Dock Assistant greets and quickly assists them to locate their assigned Skipper. The Dock Assistant then heads out as crew on one of the racing boats.
This is a great way to get to meet new members and become a favorite of all of the WNR Skippers.

Fireworks & Drone Light Shows on the Lake
Nashville Shores plans to host fireworks shows on July 3 and July 5 for Independence Day Celebrations, and September 6 for Labor Day weekend. Drone Light Displays will also be held this season on June 15, June 19 and June 26.
While not an official club event, we have facilitated member outings to raft up and enjoy the fireworks together on the lake. Check the club website for more details and to sign up for these fun opportunities.
