Marina Sky View

Greetings, PPYC

The Galen Freeman Regatta was a big success.

The club came together over May 15-17th to put on a fantastic event hosting 10 J22 boats for the Galen Freeman. Both local and regional boats from Indiana and Georgia competed over two days of excellent wind conditions.

We also took time to celebrate our Galen as our newest honored member. It was a very memorable weekend.

Thanks to our Event chair George Heintz, Social Chair Kate Atanian, Race Director Sam Beckman, Shirt Sponsor Jackson Miller, and all of the many volunteers who helped put on this event.

If you haven't already, please check out the Leeward Report on the Regatta at the bottom of this newsletter - Thank you to the talented Ricardo Machion and others for fantastic pictures of the event.

Fireworks & Drone Light Shows on the Lake

If you missed last week's fireworks, you'll have another chance to go out soon. Nashville Shores plans to host fireworks shows on July 3 and July 5 for Independence Day Celebrations, and September 6 for Labor Day weekend. Drone Light Displays will also be held this season on June 15, June 19 and June 26.

While not an official club event, we have facilitated member outings to raft up and enjoy the fireworks together on the lake. Check the club website for more details about these fun opportunities.
