Greetings PPYC Members,
Spring Fling - Tomorrow, April 18
Join us for the Spring Fling Regatta to kick off the sailing season. This regatta is open to all, regardless of experience. This will be a distance course around the lake. Come on out even if you don't have a boat in the water. We will be matching interested crew.
We will have breakfast preceding the race, and will have a social event after at La Hacienda.
LATH
Tuesday nights are in full swing. Registration fills up quickly, so in order to give all members a fair chance at a LATH spot, please do not sign up for more than two slots/weeks at a time. Thank you! We want everyone to have a chance to get out on the water. If you can’t make it, let us know as soon as possible. Our LATH Skippers put a lot of time into organizing each week. Please help them out so that we don’t have "No Shows" to these events.
WNR
With the low water level, Wednesday Night Racing remains on hold. But, that is not going to stop us from figuring out how to the turn lemons into lemonade. If low water conditions persist, keep your eyes and ears open for another Windward/Leeward Race Academy event this week.
J22 One Design Regatta (Galen Freeman Regatta) - Saturday, May 16th & Sunday, May 17th
We are hosting a J22 One Design Regatta (Galen Freeman Regatta) on Saturday and Sunday, May 16th &17th, and are looking for volunteers to support the Race Committee. Don’t worry if you haven’t done this before. We will have experienced folks there to guide you. This is a great way to support the club as well as get a perfect view of some great racing. Don’t worry if you can’t make both days. Sign up for whatever you can do. See Galen Freeman Regatta Volunteers and please email Regatta Chair, George Heintz (ghheintz@aol.com) for coordination.
