Greetings PPYC Members,

 Race Academy

One of the Club’s goals this season is to provide members with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the lake.  Our recent addition of Race Academy is turning into a successful experiment toward this goal.  For the past two Saturdays, we’ve had several members come out to learn and practice the basics of a Windward/Leeward race course.  Last Saturday, we had the J22 fleet out and this Saturday we have the non-spinnaker fleet.  Be sure to check the Club Calendar for future dates. Race Academy is accessible only to members, so you will need to log-in to the Club website to view and register for these events.

April Sailing Programs Begin

Tuesday Learning at the Helm (LATH) events and Wednesday Night Racing (WNR) both start up the beginning of April, lake water levels permitting. Check the Club Calendar and remember to complete your Crew Waiver for the WNR season.  You can’t race without it.

Wednesday Night Racing

Skippers be sure to register your boat on Regatta Network and check out the WNR Skipper WhatsApp group. Remind your regular WNR crew to complete the one-time WNR Crew waiver.
Annual Cleanup and Volunteer Day
April 4
As we prepare for the season, our annual Cleanup and Volunteer Day will be held on April 4th. Come out early and help get the powerboats and sailing gear out and ready for the season. As an all-volunteer club, Saturday, April 4 is our BIG DAY.  Please register on the Club Calendar link.

Club Boat members will be pulling out the club boats and getting them ready to be sailed. Your help is definitely needed to complete all the important Club Boat tasks.

Happy Sailing!
