Holiday Greetings from the Commodore
Dear Members of the Percy Priest Yacht Club,
As we bring this year to a close, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your continued support and participation throughout a remarkably full and successful season. The strength of our club is reflected in the energy you bring to every corner of PPYC.
This year featured a robust slate of sailing and social activity: multiple regattas across the calendar, a thriving Sunday dinghy fleet, and consistently well-sailed Wednesday Night Racing. Our Learning at the Helm program welcomed new sailors into the sport, while our education offerings (including Coastal Navigation, Splicing, Fiberglass Repair, Sail Trim, and Keelboat Sailing) continued to raise the level of seamanship across the club.
On the social side, our traditions remained strong. Members gathered for raft-ups, fireworks-watching events, potlucks, a lively luau, and, finally, a terrific Christmas Party.
I especially want to thank the members of our Board for their tremendous enthusiasm and support.
On behalf of the Board, I extend warm wishes to you and your families for a peaceful holiday season and fair winds in the year ahead. It is an honor to serve a club whose members contribute so much to its spirit and success.
Respectfully,
George Heintz
Commodore, Percy Priest Yacht Club
