Eagle Creek Mayor’s Cup Regatta
Percy Priest J/22s Shine in Indianapolis
Over the weekend of May 31st, two teams from Percy Priest Yacht Club traveled to Eagle Creek Sailing Club in Indianapolis for the annual Mayor’s Cup Regatta.
Team Ambush: Crew: Jackson Miller, Alicia Noble, George Darling
Team Go Hogs Go: Crew: Paul Heintz, Brian Dougherty, George Heintz
Saturday provided steady breeze, and six races were completed. Sunday, however, brought calm winds and a long wait before races were abandoned for the day.
Both teams performed admirably, but the breaks went Go Hogs Go’s way, earning them 1st Place and the overall Mayor’s Cup win! Ambush finished a strong 4th in a competitive fleet.
Eagle Creek Sailing Club once again hosted a fantastic event, complete with active J/22 competition and their comically oversized post-race pizzas.
