Traveling on the water is my greatest joy. I have sailed the east coast of Florida from Fernandina Beach to Key West and around to Tampa as well as lots of time in the Abacos. My cutter “Winterhawk’” was part of the Sea Scout fleet in Marsh Harbor for several years before she was sold. I have sailed and boated extensively in British Columbia, Puget Sound and the Windward and Leeward islands.
Cruising is my preferred method of seeing the world and at this stage of my life my bucket list runneth over.
Although I’ve lived and worked in Nashville for several decades as a touring singer/songwriter, violinist/fiddler and rhythm guitarist, I now dedicate my time to travel and boating be it sail or motor. I have a 17 acre farm in the highland rim area which doesn’t do much for my social life when Im in town so I decided to see if PPYC might provide some opportunities to meet some new cruising buddies and social interaction. I’m a decent helmswoman and have done a bit of racing in Florida.
Many moons ago, I had a 21 ft Hunter on Percy Priest. I am currently in the market for a new boat but not sure where on Earth she will be berthed. Meanwhile, I also do some crewing and helming with the Hillsboro Inlet Sailing Club in Ft. Lauderdale. I have a little Ranger tug but she is my “pacifier” until the next big one.
