In our most recent Newsletter, we mentioned that our Commodore, Galen Freeman, suggested in our last Board meeting that we begin having monthly Member MeetUps, and after discussing the concept in more depth, the Board enthusiastically supported the idea. We ended up zeroing in on the first Thursday of each month, beginning Thursday May 6th.
The arrangements for this first Meetup are now complete. It will be Thursday, May 6th, beginning at 6:00pm, at Papa Turney's BBQ, Nashville Shores Marina (3979 Bell Road: use Marina entrance — if you go by boat, enter starboard of the docks, stay as far off the bank as possible, and check your charts and depth gauge.) If the venue changes for future Meetups, we’ll update applicable items in the Upcoming Events calendar on the left side of our home page.
We hope these Meetups will turn out to be great times for members to visit with each other, and also to interact with our Board members who will be among the regular attendees — no agenda, just mixing with fellow sailing enthusiasts. - Cold beer @ 3.50 each.
- BBQ plates from $9.50 to full slab dinner for $24.00
- Entertainment starts at 7 p.m.
