Well, Its finally here, the first regatta of our 2021 season. Please come out and join us March 27th for the Force Five Regatta. If the weather does not cooperate on the 27th, we have scheduled a backup regatta date on the 28th.
We understand and know that COVID is a concern, and as such, have taken measures to make this event as COVID safe as possible for everyone (Racers and Race Committee).
Skippers meeting will be done via channel 68 over the radio. This means you can attend from the comfort of your boat. In the interest of keeping the race committee COVID safe, the race will be a pursuit format. As such, no committee boat will be needed which eliminates multiple people being on a committee boat and chase boats.
We will have three classes. Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker and Bee Fleet. If you are new to racing and would like to talk with someone about how to get started or possibly have someone on your boat help guide you during the race, please reach out to me at Racing@ppyc.org. We will work together to accomplish this in a COVID safe manner.
