2021 PPYC Educational Programs

Will You Help Us
In Our Planning Efforts?

2021 promises to be another challenging year for us, but we learned a lot last year about finding ways to “do what we do” while remaining compliant with the COVID-19 restrictions under which we are required to operate. You may recall that we proceeded with the last few 2020 Regattas by just “fine tuning” the procedures and rules a bit. As our Commodore Galen Freeman pointed out recently, we plan to continue under that innovative spirit with our 2021 racing and other PPYC activities.

This message is about our educational programs that we call PPYCU. We want to capitalize on what we learned through last year’s successes in on-the-water events and be equally innovative in planning our educational offerings for this year. The first thing we need is your input. Below is a list of topics we believe — based on previous member and public input — we should develop into a curriculum-based educational program. We would appreciate your reviewing that list and then participating in a brief minute-or-two survey by clicking the link that follows the list. A very important question in that survey is whether or not you would participate in “virtual” sessions, via Zoom, on topics of interest to you (Zoom is a widely-used videoconferencing tool that is very easy to use and does not require you to set up an account or require you to do anything “technical.”) Here is the list of topics:

We would sincerely appreciate your taking a minute or two to complete the survey at the following link: PPYCU Survey. Your doing so will help us ensure that our educational events match the interests of our members.

Thank you very much.
